12 shades of rouge. A rosy flare in the trees. Painting the sky day and night.
Maple trees are distinctly known for their vivid red foliage, sugary smell, and sap turned syrup in the fall. During the 1800’s, maple trees were planted along Mapleton Ave and remain a prominent characteristic to this day. They are also found along hillsides and pastures. Maple syrup contains powerful antioxidants that neutralize free radicals, supporting immunity and reducing the risk of cancer and disease. The whole maple tree was used by natives; its bark to treat fevers and its water, or sap, to support hydration.
