An ocean of spikes. Formidable bedding. Covering earths ground.
Junipers are native to the dry, rocky hillsides of the Rocky Mountains. They range from shrub to tree and produce silvery blue berries throughout the winter. Junipers are known to be tough and tolerant of very cold temperatures. They serve as a vital part of the ecosystem by providing habitat and food for wildlife during colder months. From wood for bows and flutes to tea for colds and fevers, the plant as a whole was used for a variety of purposes by natives.
