The last whisper of bloom. Gently swaying in the wind. Offers a glimpse of youth.
Broomweed is a native shrub-like plant to the Rockies. It’s known for it’s ability to adapt to drought, thriving in open, dry plains. Broomweed produces clusters of yellow flowers at the end of summer that start to dry out come fall. It was used by natives for a variety of purposes. They utilized its extract to treat colds and respiratory ailments; applied its ashes to combat headaches and dizziness; and activated anti-inflammatory properties by chewing and adhering it to wounds and snakebites.
