I was commissioned by a private event to create a series of installations in the spirit of spring. A foraging adventure led me to the hills where I found countless trees down. They looked as if they popped out of the ground or someone picked them like a weed. Stress from drought and beetle infestation has led to tree decay, then high winds topple them to their knees. These trees were laying in our forests as perfect kindling for potential wildfires.

Spring is a time of renewal and rebirth, I sought to give these trees a fresh start. The Giving Tree symbolizes our frondescence - shaking off our winter slumber and waking up to spring. Each branch letting go in order to let in. Each chandelier consists of foraged of pieces of wood intricately woven and hung, representing the nature of what we give and receive
