Color to ash. A whisper of light. Swaying through the night.
Goldenrod is a sign of good luck in many cultures. This widely adaptable plant thrives in almost any soil - from clay to sand. It plays a valuable role in biodiversity by providing pollen and nectar in the late fall for a variety of species. Come winter, while the plant is dormant, its bright yellow flowers transform into seed heads, offering feed for songbirds. Stiff goldenrod has been known to treat bee stings and heal wounds by grinding up the flowers into a potent lotion.
